East Perth Cemetery

As part of our researching of The Swan River Colony the boys visited The East Perth Cemetery and what a place it is. Guided by The National Trust's own treasure Diana, we were led on an enchanting and fact filled adventure where we explored met many key players of WA's past. It has been a place the boys have been dying to visit for ages!

Dads Reading Day in 5 green

The 5 Green classroom was turned into a readers paradise last Friday when the boys welcomed in Mr Davis, Mr Mackenzie, Mr Lamattina, Mr Iovene and Mr Carcich for our Dads and Grandads Reading Day!

The love of books and reading was shared by our amazing volunteers who brought inspiring books in to share with their group.

A Q and A session followed where questions like, 'what was your first book?' and' How is reading important in your job?' Were put to our brave volunteers.

It was a great chance to celebrate reading and the vital role it plays in our lives.

Many thanks to all our volunteers!

Mr Hayes

Government House Visit

The class recently had a most enjoyable visit to Government House in the city. The boys were led on a most interesting and informative tour of Government House and its amazing historic gardens. Walking in the footsteps of Captain James Stirling the boys were able to gain a great sense of WA's history.  We even saw a tree planted by Stirling himself.

The climax of the tour was definitely meeting Her Excellency The Governor of WA Mrs Kerry Sanderson who was very generous with her time in meeting the class.

Thanks to Mrs Yeo, Mrs Smith and Mr Bush for joining us and taking the great photos below.
